In the twilight of her life, a home should be a sanctuary of peace and security. But for Grandma Sáu Phượng, a resident of Đắk Lắk province, "home" was a fragile structure that struggled to keep the world out.
From Devastation to Despair
For years, Grandma Phượng lived in a makeshift shelter that was severely dilapidated. Her resilience was tested to the limit when a recent violent storm swept through the region, reduced her crumbling house to rubble. In an instant, she was left homeless and vulnerable, facing a future of deep uncertainty.
HiBT’s Mission: "Leave No One Behind"
Driven by the core principle of "Leaving No One Behind," the HiBT team stepped in to turn the tide. On December 21, 2025, HiBT officially broke ground on a new "Compassion House" (Mái ấm tình thương) for Grandma Phượng.
This project is about more than just bricks and mortar; it is a commitment to dignity. By providing a sturdy, permanent roof over her head, HiBT aims to offer Grandma Phượng a safe haven where she can live out her later years with the comfort and care she deserves.
"I couldn't believe it when they told me..." Grandma Phượng shared, her eyes filling with tears during the groundbreaking ceremony. Her gratitude was a powerful reminder of how a single act of kindness can reshape a life.
A Community United
The ceremony was attended by local representative Bùi Ngọc Thọ, who expressed the gratitude of the Đắk Lắk local government. He praised HiBT’s initiative, noting that such corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts are vital for regional stability.
"We hope to see this model of compassion expanded across the country," Thọ stated. "HiBT is not just building a house; they are building hope for those who need it most."
Our Vision: Restoring Faith in Humanity
At HiBT, we believe that a house is the foundation of a new beginning. Through this initiative, we hope to show Grandma Phượng—and others like her—that they are seen, valued, and supported by their community. Our goal is to replace the trauma of the storm with the warmth of a home.
